Hot Sausage Feta Honey Pizza (Printable)

Spicy sausage meets creamy feta and sweet honey on crispy crust for the perfect flavor balance.

# What You'll Need:

→ Dough & Base

01 - 1 lb pizza dough, store-bought or homemade
02 - 2 tbsp olive oil, divided

→ Sausage & Cheese

03 - ½ lb hot Italian sausage, casings removed
04 - 1½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
05 - ½ cup crumbled feta cheese

→ Toppings & Garnish

06 - ¼ cup hot honey
07 - ½ tsp red pepper flakes
08 - Fresh parsley or basil, chopped

# How to Make It:

01 - Preheat oven to 475°F. Place pizza stone in oven if using.
02 - On lightly floured surface, roll dough to desired thickness for two medium pizzas.
03 - In skillet over medium heat, cook sausage until browned and fully cooked, breaking into crumbles. Drain excess fat.
04 - Transfer rolled dough onto pizza stone or baking sheet. Brush each crust lightly with olive oil.
05 - Evenly sprinkle mozzarella cheese over dough, followed by cooked sausage and crumbled feta.
06 - Bake for 12–15 minutes until crust is golden and cheese is bubbling.
07 - Remove from oven. Immediately drizzle hot honey generously over each pizza. Sprinkle with red pepper flakes if desired. Garnish with chopped fresh herbs. Let rest 5 minutes before slicing and serving.

# Expert Hints:

01 -
  • The hot honey creates this incredible sweet heat that makes people pause and ask what is actually on this pizza
  • It comes together in under 40 minutes but tastes like something from a fancy wood fired restaurant
02 -
  • Honey goes on AFTER baking or it will burn and turn bitter in the high heat
  • A pizza stone makes such a difference for the crust, but if you do not have one, preheat your baking sheet instead
03 -
  • Room temperature dough stretches so much easier than cold dough
  • Letting the pizza rest for 5 minutes after baking keeps the cheese from sliding off when you slice it
